(The overall winners in each division do not also receive an award for their class, the class award goes to the second-placed driver.
There need to be two drivers registered for a class for there to be a first-in-class award)
Once again, each division has been won by a very slim margin with a healthy level of competition amongst the 30 drivers that registered this year.
There are some great performances elsewhere in the classes too; you can find individual results for each contender by selecting the Results link above.
We hope you all had a great year’s motorsport and will join us at our End of Season Dinner and Awards Presentation on 25th November.
See HERE for more information and to book. (Applications close 18th November).

Scammonden 10th Sept – Cancelled
Announcement from Pendle Motor Club:
I regret to inform everyone that our Chairman, Rod Brereton, has been taken into and remains in hospital having had what appears to be a major stroke.
It is unlikely that he will be able to carry out any motor club/motorsport duties for quite some time and therefore the committee has decided to postpone/cancel the Scammonden Hill Climb due to take place on the 10th September 2022.
We are sorry to have to do this but hope you understand.
If you had an entry in the event, please forward me your entry details and we will endeavour to return your entry fees as soon as possible. Although this may take some time, I will guarantee its return.
Should you wish to make further contact regarding any Pendle DMC event/issue please do so through me for the moment till we can sort things out.
If you know anyone who was going to marshal or attend the event for another purpose please advise them of the situation.
We thank you all for your support.
Regards
Alan Shaw (Vice Chairman) shawalan555@gmail.com
Please be aware that I will have very limited access to internet between 23rd September and 7th October 2022.

Division 2:

It’s certainly been a closely fought championship this year and we are so pleased to see so many competitors out and about after the cancellation of last year’s championship due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Thank you to everyone who took part.
Awards
After a great deal of deliberation, we have reluctantly decided not to hold an annual dinner and awards presentation this time. Covid-19 hasn’t gone away and the advancing age of many of our competitors, coupled with the increasing rate of infections, has been taken into account and we don’t feel it is appropriate to hold a dinner whilst the risk of infection is still so high. We shall arrange to send trophies to the winners in due course. We hope you appreciate why we have reached this decision.
Next Year
We’re already planning for next year – we hope you’ll be joining us for another exciting year of speed events in 2022.
Championship Coordinator – volunteer found!
We wish to give particular thanks to Sean Robertson who is now stepping down from the role of Championship Coordinator for personal reasons. He took on the role from Ron Hunt just as Covid-19 struck and has done a wonderful job over the past 2 seasons, one year of which was lost of course.
We are pleased to welcome Ryan Smith who has volunteered to take on the role of Championship Coordinator for 2022. Ryan isn’t a competitor although he has taken part in our track days and is keen to help keep the Championship running. Ryan will be in touch with all previous contenders early in the New Year.
Best wishes, and stay safe

2019 Speed Championship Final Results
Thank you for taking part in the Championship this year, and for your patience whilst we finalised the results. Details of an awards presentation event will be announced shortly.
I’m now retiring from running the Championship and want to thank everyone for their support over the past 15 years. Best wishes to all; I hope you continue to enjoy your motorsport.
Kind regards
Ron
Championship Co-ordinator
Apologies for the delay in publishing the 2019 final results and awards lists. Over the past couple of years, Ron has found that running the championship has become increasingly challenging but, not wishing to let everyone down, he has valiantly battled on. After 15 years at the helm, it is with great regret that Ron has now decided the time has come to pass on the role of Championship Coordinator to another volunteer.
Sean Robertson is your new Coordinator and his contact details will be published in the 2020 regulations.
It’s fair to say that without Ron, the Championship simply wouldn’t have become the success that it is today.
I’m sure you will join with me in thanking Ron for the incredible amount of work he put into setting up and running the Championship over the past 15 years and we wish him all the very best for the future.
John Harden,
Chairman, Liverpool Motor Club

Ron’s out of action for a while!
Please be aware that Championship coordinator Ron Hunt is currently recuperating at home after a minor operation that invoved a short stay in hospital last week.
You can still let him know about any omissions or errors that you find, but please be aware that he won’t be able to action any corrections or update the Championship results table for a couple of weeks.
I’m sure competitors will join me in wishing Ron a speedy recovery.
